Advanced Dental & Orthodontic Technology – Woodbridge Township, NJ
High-Quality Care Using the Latest Technology
Whether you’re visiting us for traditional dental services or specialized orthodontic care, we use the latest technology to make sure that no stone is left unturned. Plus, we meticulously plan treatments from beginning to end. The gadgets that you can find in our Woodbridge dental office also make each of your visits faster, more comfortable, and accurate as well, improving every aspect of your appointment. To learn more about some of the instruments we utilize, read below.
Intraoral Camera
Our intraoral camera is a pen-shaped, handheld device that we maneuver around your mouth to get an up-close, clear view of problem-areas and possible symptoms of oral health problems. The footage is hooked-up to a large chairside monitor that allows us to show you what problems you face. It also acts as a great resource to help us better explain our recommended treatment plan and how it will address the problem at-hand.
Digital X-Rays
Film X-rays are a thing of the past. Not only did they produce blurry images that didn’t always lead to accurate diagnoses, but they also took awhile to develop, making appointments last longer than they do now. We utilize digital X-ray imaging that reduces patient exposure to radiation by up to 90 percent and doesn’t use harmful chemicals for the environment. The images are also easy to store and transfer since they’re digital.
CT/Cone Beam Scanner
A cone beam CT scanner is a neat device that allows us to capture a detailed, panoramic, 3D blueprint of your facial structure and jawbone. The process only takes about 30 seconds, and it allows us to see your sinuses, entire jawbone, dentition, and even nerves. Not only does it allow us to strategically plan out treatments like dental implants, but it also helps accurately diagnose complex issues like TMJ dysfunction.
Digital Intraoral Scanner
Traditionally, getting a crown, dental implant, or aligners involves taking impressions with a putty-like substance, which must be pressed against your upper and lower teeth so that a replica of your mouth can be fabricated in the dental lab and your restoration or appliance can be customized. However, at White Oak Dental & Orthodontics, we use the industry’s top-of-the-line technology. With the Medit i700, we are able to digitally scan and measure your teeth for a more comfortable experience and more accurate results.
